The history of Malay Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia goes as far back as 1957 known then as Gabungan Dewan-Dewan Perniagaan Melayu Se-Malaya (GDPMM). Pre independence, the Malay Chambers existed in silos with histories dating as far back as 1938 in Kelantan. In the capital city, the Malay Chamber has taken many names and in many forms since it's earliest appearence in 1975.

Fast forward to today, the Kuala Lumpur Malay Chamber of Commerce has served as an integral part of growing business, growing talent and growing opportunity in Malaysia. Every strategy, program and services the Chamber offers is created specifically to serve the business community and further its mission — with results that directly benefit our members and the community.
